In July 2001, the watch business division of SEIKO HOLDINGS
CORPORATION was spun off into an independent company, SEIKO WATCH CORPORATION.
With this move, SEIKO HOLDINGS CORPORATION became a dedicated holding company
and a new management structure was created to oversee its various business
subsidiaries.
SEIKO WATCH CORPORATION is SEIKO's flagship business under this new organization, working closely with manufacturing companies SEIKO Epson and SEIKO Instruments on integrated marketing activities, ranging from product development to design, advertising, sales promotion and customer service.

SEIKO HOLDINGS CORPORATION
Established in 1881. Now, a dedicated holding company with a
new management structure to oversee all the corporation's business subsidiaries
and enhance the power of the SEIKO brand. The creation of the holding company
was the final move in a corporate restructuring that began in the second half of
the 1990s and was completed when the watch business division was spun off in
2001. Under the new organization, the independence and autonomy of the various
companies will be respected, while full rein is given to opportunities for
synergy among the businesses.
SEIKO CLOCK INC.
Established in 1996. The integrated clock company within the
SEIKO Group, handling everything from planning and development, to production,
sales and service. In addition to developing overseas markets, it has garnered a
great deal of attention in Japan with the "Radio Wave Clock," which sets itself
automatically to Japan standard time, a product truly suited to the twenty-first
century!
SEIKO PRECISION INC.
Established in 1996. Its business development is powered by
unique state-of-the-art technologies in areas ranging from camera components to
semiconductors. Its products include camera shutters and automatic-focus
mechanisms, system clocks, printers, mechatronics equipment such as machine
tools, as well as imaging devices, semiconductors, electroluminescent displays,
sensors, and open network systems.
SEIKO OPTICAL PRODUCTS CO., LTD.
Established in 1996. Engages in the planning, advertising,
sales and service of all types of eyeglass products, including SEIKO brand
eyeglass lenses manufactured by SEIKO Epson, SEIKO and other brand frames,
sunglasses with other optical related products. It develops its business both in
Japan and major international markets through its marketing and sales
activities.
SEIKO S-YARD CO., LTD.
Established in 2000 when SEIKO HOLDINGS CORPORATION's sports
and toiletries divisions were spun off. Its integrated business development
includes everything from new product planning and development to domestic and
overseas marketing not only for S-Yard golf clubs but also for sports timing
devices and electric shavers as well as metronomes, music tuners, and health
products and information products.
SEIKO JEWELRY CO., LTD.
A trading company established as a spin-off from SEIKO
HOLDINGS CORPORATION in 1997, and specialising in product planning, development
and importing of jewelry. Aside from its own original products, it handles
several other licensed brands for Japan market.
WAKO CO., LTD.
A luxury specialty store that is truly representative of the
refined, international and sophisticated Ginza area of Tokyo. Over the years, it
has gained an excellent reputation for its high-end products which include
watches, jewelry, menswear, womenswear, items for the home, arts and crafts, as
well as eyeglasses and food.
SEIKO TIME SYSTEM INC.
Established in 1970. The company engages in integrated
development, marketing and service for everything from system clocks that are
widely used in public places such as schools and hospitals, marionette clocks on
exhibit in many towns, and clocks for broadcasting stations, to sports timing
devices, competition timing computer systems, and all types of large-scale
displays. It actively seeks opportunities to showcase its timing systems at
world-class sports events at home and abroad.
SEIKO SERVICE CENTER CO., LTD.
The company is responsible for the servicing and repair of
SEIKO products, including watches, electric shavers and liquid-crystal
televisions in Japan. It also provides technical training for retailers, and
sells approved parts, batteries and repair tools in the Japan domestic market.
SEIKO INSTRUMENTS INC.
Established in 1937. Besides being the leading wristwatch
manufacturer in the world, it also develops and manufactures a wide range of
revolutionary products, ranging from consumer items such as electronic
dictionaries and portable digital assistants to business products such as
computer peripherals, CAE, CAD, and CAM systems, electronic components, analysis
and measurement equipment, and intelligent robots.
SEIKO EPSON CORP.
Established in 1942. Well-known for its leadership in the
field of micro-mechatronics. It creates high-value-added electronics, including
printers, computers, wristwatches, semiconductors, and liquid-crystal displays.
